Should your iPad freeze, you can reboot it by performing a soft reset. A soft reset consists of simultaneously hitting the home and power buttons. The device will restart. To fix a frozen app, simply hold the home button one or two seconds.
It is possible to expand the amount of preview text you get for emails. Go to Settings, Mail, and Preview. You can change this from 2 lines to 5 lines. This will give you a larger range to view when you are skimming.
With the default setting you can see the first two lines of any emails before you open them. You may want to be able to see more content. In mail under settings, you can make this alteration. Go to Mail, Contacts, and Calendar to adjust Preview Mail Options to add more lines.
